And I Go La La La La La

She’s Got the Look

Daisy is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. She’s smart, kind, funny, AND she’s has the most killer style! I knew we’d have a fun time working together and make beautiful portraits, but I wasn’t expecting to go from corporate Daisy to model Daisy in an instant! Her love for fashion is intoxicating.

As for the more business type of portraits, you can see Daisy’s business life here: https://daisyquaker.com/

You Worked so Hard

That You Knew You Wouldn’t Settle…

As I was putting these portraits together I was thinking about that summer after high school graduation. No real responsibilities, just the need to hang out with my friends as long as I could before we all scattered. It was a great time.

Photographing senior boys is so much fun. They either want to just show up the day, or have strong ideas on what they want. We planned two sessions for Zach since he has summer and winter hobbies. He is a really great human. Kind, funny and full of life. I can’t wait to see where he goes and the things he will do.

By the Pricking of My Thumbs

Something Wicked This Way Comes…

If you follow me on social media you know I LOVE Halloween. The decorating, the funny tees, the themed food, the costumes. ALL.OF.IT. I also love how inspired I get around this time for my photos.

This year things happened a bit differently. In September I attended The Portrait Masters Conference and came away with new friends and a renewed need to be more creative for fun in my work. I think all of the attendees did. One of my new friends, Natalie Ramirez of Bug and Bird Photography,  challenged Rashmi Gill of Rashmi Gill Photography and I to a photo challenge. Every other month one of us will pick a theme and we each have to interpret it ourselves and then blog it. There are no rules. It can be as simple, complicated, basic or composited as we each want. No pressure, don’t stress, just have fun…

I picked the first theme! Since it happened to be October and Halloween I thought, “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” would be perfect! Here’s a little behind the scene video showing my set up, a few behind the scene photos and the two final images I created! Happy Halloween!

Double, double toil and trouble
Fire burn and caldron bubble…

There’s No Way I Can Pay You Back

But the plan is to show you that I understand
You are appreciated

With Mother’s Day this weekend I thought it was the perfect time to share the images from my parent’s 50th Anniversary session this spring. It was a true honor to spend this quality time with them, capture these amazing images, and to create this legacy for my family.

The amazingly talented Izabel Davila of Style & Face came to our home to do my mother’s hair and makeup which was AMAZING! We both highly recommend working with her. A lovely woman with phenomenal skills!

My parents live in Old Victoria which is the original part of our town, and the most beautiful if you ask me! So, we started their session around their home, were they’ve lived for 45 years (I think!) My brother and I were born and raised there.  From there we went downtown which is my favorite are in the whole city. We started at the County Courthouse to show my dad a little extra love. He was County Judge for 12 years. PLUS, it’s my fave building in town. ? Then as the sun went down a bit we went back to my parent’s house to do a few more images in their back yard. I absolutely love it there too!

As you can tell, I might be a bit biased with the town and these images. But I do love them. If there is a big anniversary coming up in your family I’d love to chat: ashleyslindseyphotography@gmail.com
